I wouldnt even wipe my butt with that book, there is tons more info to be had for free on the web. but thats my opinion. I had the book, and realized this site is better, you can get almost realtime help, theres tons more hands on than the few people that wrote the book, and some of there work looked like a hack job.

Look at the way the radiator is installed, and what they used!!!!

Didnt even use one of the products they sell!!!!

Also gonna run a camaro t5. After all the kinks are worked out I might screw it up again and add a hair dryer.

I bought the book years back, looked at it once and threw it in the closet. I never used it for my truck.

I bought that book before i started my first swap, which was before i would have considered my self to be mechanicaly inclined. For a beginer with a very novice tech background i would say the book was helpfull, But this site deffinatly beats the crap outa that book, which i would have known about this site before i did my first swap, would have saved me like 30 bucks.

If you follow the JTR book while doing your swap, and keep the truck long enough, you will wind up redoing all the JTR stuff the right way eventually, 8)

The book is worth it if you are new to swapping. It covers lots of info. I also agree that there is more information available to be had here on the forums and the net. I learned by reading and seeing what others has done. Then look at where they could have done better. I believe it is a personal preference and everyone is different.

There is more than one way to do just about anything. I believe in reading everything you can about a subject, get as many opinions as you can, and then do what works the best for you.
