Truck manifold on pass side and 4th gen f-body manifold on drivers side. Got some hood clearance issues. More pics to come when more work is done.

Id go with an LS6 intake before I would the Vic. Jr. but thats just me. I like for mine not to lose a ton of low end power just for some extra HPs up top. Plus I'm guessing you are wanting to be able to keep the flex fuel option. I wonder if my truck will have the same issue. I have mine put back as far as it will go.

You don't have any experience with 4x4 s10's do you?

Any idea if the F body manifolds would clear the shock tower? If they clear the steering shaft they've got to clear the shock towers, right?
Man, I really don't want to have to make a whole new pair of headers for my swap

Great looking swap too! Nothing at all wrong with budget builds when they're done like that!
5.3 LSx into a 88 AWD converted Blazer. Can it be done?!

If I remember correctly, a car intake with truck accessories, points the inlet on the intake directly behind the accessories, making it a huge pita to get plumbing to the intake.

Only the idler pulley gets in the way and the neck of the water pump. There is a bracket that can be bought that moves the idler pulley lower like in the picture. They are using an 07+ water pump. Some people call it the l92 water pump but from what I've gathered ALL 07+ trucks, tahoes, yukons, etc. use this water pump with the different water neck than the ones we are use to seeing.

v8sten,why did you have to cut the top of the exhaust manifold on the drivers side? I tried the truck maniold on mine, but didn't look like it would work unless it had a differant angle on the flange side.

Those were the screw holes for the heat shield. The rear two had to be cut off th clear the steering shaft. On the second pipe back was the egr I just welded it shut. The drivers side is an f-body.

You said you used a truck manifold on the pass side, but I check it out on mine and it hits the frame.Did you do anything to the truck manifold?

Time to start on the wiring and a little more fab work, the stock throttle cable was used off of the 4 cylinder, I just used both throttle cable brackets and made one to work. We are just getting rid of the wires that arent going to be used any more off of the factory S10 harness. If everything goes as planned the stock gauges will work, hopefully.

stock gauges should work fine, you may have to install the water temp sender for the gauge in the opposite head, but same thing. oil pressure SHOULD read, it did in customized96s10's Z71 swap we did.

You could have used a throttle cable off of a 01+ 4.3 s10 or blazer and it would have worked with the 5.3 cable bracket and not needed to be modified. Just a future FYI. Looking good by the way. I'm working on my wiring harness right now and am working on a way to make sure that I have enough fused power supplies to supply everything.

You can go the other way too, a 2002 Silverado throttle cable will fit in the s10 pedal with no mods
