carbed air intake

ok guys I'm looking for some kind of throttle body hat that will fit over the carb or is there a car thats carbed that has somethin like that? cause I'm wanting to build my own cold air intake any ideas of what kind of car i could get one off of?

My friend did that to his 350. He took an old air filter Mr Gasket assemble and scrapped the upper piece and filter and just used the lower piece and took part of intake off of a 4.3 s10...the part that sits on the throttle body and fiberglassed it to the mr gasket part. Then he ran some diesel intercooling pipe we found laying around the shop and hose clamp here and there and slapped a k&n cone on it. I'll get pics if you'd like...
1995 Chevy S-10 ext cab...1993ish 350 bored .030 over, Edelbrock dual plane performer intake, Edlebrock 600 cfm carb, 160* thermostat, .480 lift Comp cam, 100 shot kit, Hedman shorty hedders, Flowmaster 40 series mufflers, no cats, 8.8 rear end with disc brakes, 3.73s, Th350 with 2300 stall convertor and shift kit, sitting on some 26x8.5 Mickey Thompon E.T. streets.

yep thats what I'm lookin for but will it fit over a carb the same way? or is the carb too big?

i was considering doing the same thing when i get my truck goin..several members of a turbo message board i used to frequent used a homemade "bonnet" on single and twin turbo blow-thru setups.i believe a dual ram-air bonnet would be easy to contruct with a few pieces of sheetmetal and a good welder

wow that spectre kit is pretty clean and cheap, you get everything even filters. here is another kit its a bit more expensivethough.

I doubt that the spectre kit comes with what Jeg's has listed. I checked on summit and spectres site and I don't think it comes with anything but the hat. Would be nice if it does though.
