how do i tell????

how do i tell what engine was originaly in my truck. i know its a manual steering, and was a 5 speed. not sure on what motor was in it. bought it with the swap done. also does it even matter. i just want to put some new energy susp. motor mounts in. wanna make sure i get the right ones. :v8shift:

What motor it started with doesn't really mean a whole lot, they could be anything. Check out the "Best Motor Mounts" thread, it will tell you what's available, and hopefully help you identify what you have and/or need. 8)

93 S10 RCSB 305 Fully ported and polished 416 cast heads, summit 1102 cam, edelbrock performer intake with an edelbrock 1406 carb Shorty headers into the jegs exhaust kit. 8.5 disc brake rear with 3.42 posi, soon to be back to a 5 speed.

If it has maual steering I would say it had a 4 banger in it.

My 93 with a 2.8 had manual steering, I upgraded to a gearbox from a 87 iroc for the quicker steering ratio, and j/y'ed the pump and brackets.
